I’ve been listening to a lot of Stevie Ray Vaughan these last few weeks and reflecting on how big of a light he was in the music industry. With that, thoughts of Kyle swept through my mind instantly and remembered him and how big of a light he was in all of our lives. Just like SRV, we lost him way too soon, but his memories and legacy live on in our hearts. This song really hit home with me and I remembered him through it. Miss you Kyle, but you’ll always live in my memories.

Jason, you know how eclectic Kyle’s taste was in music. When my boys were young, we would “kitchen dance” while I made dinner. They both loved it when they were little, but as they got older, well, you know how that goes…not cool to dance in the kitchen with mom. But the last time he was home before he left to go to Egypt, a SRV song came up on his play list and he grabbed my hand for a quick kitchen dance. I don’t remember the song, just the moment and him saying, “oh yeah, gotta dance to Stevie Ray Vaughn in the kitchen!”. Thank you for this post. It brought back such a great memory! Been missing him so badly.

What a wonderful post! They do have a way of letting us know they are still watching…a lot of times through music! Love that song….love SRV! Love all the Kyle memories shared on a regular basis! ❤️❤️❤️
